EBSTEIN BARR VIRUS

HELLO,

MY NAME IS BETTY AND I HAVE HAD EBV FOR OVER 15 YEARS. MY DOCTOR DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND A LOT OF INFO FROM NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF HEALTH. OVER 800,000 PEOPLE SUFFER FROM EBV AND CFS. I HAVE FOLLOWED THE RECOVERY GUIDELINES WHEN IT FLARES UP.

  1. GET PLENTY OF REST.
  1. EAT A WELL-BALANCED DIET – NO SWEETS/NO CAFFEINE.
  1. TAKE ONE MULTIVITAMIN DAILY.
  1. Take one each daily of : Vitamin E – 4—IU VITAMIN A – 10,000 IU MANGANESE – 50 MG (MEMORY) ZINC 25 MG Vitamin c - 2000 mg ( if tolerated)
  1. l-lysine – 400 to 1000 mg daily for herpes treatment

Number two is very important. If your titer count if high then it might take up to two months before you see relief. I only took the vitamins the first time I had EBV and my body just keep aching like I had a bad virus. I finally when on the therapeutic diet which only allows all white meat with red meat twice a week. I did allow for one cup of coffee with sugar. But that was the only sugar intake I allowed myself. Avoid processed meats such as sausage, ham and bacon, Lamb, liver, veal, beef, venison, rabbit and pork. Avoid empty calorie foods, primarily refined carbohydrates, and simple sugars, fatty foods which are high in calories and low in nutrients, and highly processed foods in general.

Beans, grains, fish, seafood, poultry, fruit, nuts, seeds, vegetables and sprouts are to be emphasizing on to eat. Avoid bananas, plums, grapes, prunes, and other dried fruits which are high in sugar. A fast energy food is eggs. You will be surprise the energy you get after you have eaten them for dinner. Some more information, suggested reading: "Chronic Fatigue Syndrome- The Hidden Epidemic" by Dr. Jesse E. Stoff and Dr. Charles Pelligrino, "Solving the Puzzle of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome "by Dr. Michael Rosenbaum and Dr. Murray Susser and finally "From Fatigue to Fantastic" – Avery Publishing by Dr Jacob Teitelbaum,M.D. Every time my count starts to climb, I put myself back on this regiment to bring my count back done to normal. I hope it works for both of you. Best of luck.

Betty
