Dutch Say Have First Human 'Mad Cow' Victim

AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - The Netherlands has discovered its first case of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, the human variant of "mad cow disease," the government said on Thursday.
The interior ministry said in a statement a patient at a hospital in the central town of Utrecht had been diagnosed with the disease and said it had informed European authorities.
