I would get on the ball and have this story corrected or retracted by this journalist. Obviously, she has not written what Linda said. This is important because it could effect the outcome for her claim.

The reporter needs to correct her last date. She has Mentor's approval in 2004.

Myrl, in response about the Dow Settlement nurses, I will have to say that they have been very pleasant to me when they call me back. However, I did ask a question about my medical records and if they would be acceptable if the Doctor wrote a letter for me with all the affirmative statements. I was told that it would be acceptable if the Doctor wrote the letter. I had the Doctor write the letter for me and I sent it in. I got it back with a deficiency because the Doctor did not have the exact wording in her records. I should have been told this, not that it would be acceptable. This cost me three months and I only have a year to get this done. That Doctor no longer sees private patients as she works for a hospital now. The settlement knows full well we can go to a lot of Doctors and the Doctor will say yes you have that disease but no I will not write a letter for you. A lot of the Doctors say they do not even write SS or Workman's Comp disability letters. When we have medical records from numerous Doctors that say we have a disease it should be acceptable. Does Dow want to pay anything? I would say no. Or they will pay very little. Maybe they should be very ill from ruptured implants and try to get health insurance. Women have numerous surgeries for different diseases caused from ruptured implants. They lose everything they have worked for all their lives. If nothing else we should be entitled to health care and Dow Corning should have to pay for it.
