Citigroup Names Dow CEO to Board

Citigroup Inc. on Tuesday named Dow Chemical Co. Chief Executive Andrew N. Liveris as the newest member of its board.
Liveris' election to the board brings the number of members to 17, 75 percent of whom are independent under New York Stock Exchange rules and the company's own guidelines.
Citigroup shares rose 42 cents to $45.78 in midday trading on the NYSE.
