Company trying to block Scottsdale firm buyout

Scottsdale-based Medicis Pharmaceutical Corp.'s proposed $2.8 billion acquisition of Inamed Corp. is opposed by SAC Capital Advisors LLC.

SAC Capital owns 6.3 percent of Inamed shares, according to a filing today with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. A letter from SAC Capital, part of the filing, tells Inamed that the acquisition "does not fairly compensate" Inamed's shareholders.

Inamed, based in Santa Barbara, Calif., makes breast implants. Medicis, which sells wrinkle fighter Restylane, wanted to acquire its competitor to become a powerhouse in personal appearance, breast implants and weight-reduction devices.

I hope, Inamed goes bankrupt before they harm another child or women. Inamed, does NOT fairly compensate their victims of there faulty medical devices.. breast implants that leak and rupture toxic chemicals into our bodies either!
