With the Memorial Day Weekend on the horizon, many of us are getting ready for summer grilling. Somehow even the most ordinary of foods taste special after grilling. But don't confine yourselves to burgers and hot dogs. Try some fish and seafood, or lean cuts of meat and chicken; thread some veggies or fruit on skewers. And don't forget to use marinades and spice rubs to add flavor. So find those aprons, gloves and tongs, and get ready to grill.

I love to use a grill to cook foods. Grilling can be a very healthy way to cook, as long as you choose lean meats, keep your grill clean and carefully watch the flame. Grilling isn't just for hotdogs and hamburgers either. Use your grill to cook vegetables, fish, seafood and even fruits like pineapple rings.

Healthy Grilling
There are many ways you can turn your grilling not only into a flavorful and fun way to cook, but also into a healthy way to eat. By choosing foods that are low in fat, high in nutrients and full of flavor you can get great meals that are also healthy. Use marinades not only to add extra flavor but also to reduce the formation of cancer causing substances on foods.

Low Fat Summer Grilling, Cookouts and Picnics
It's so easy to overeat in the summer. We fire up the grill at every opportunity and cook countless steaks, hot dogs and burgers; we prepare mounds of potato salad and macaroni salad; and we offer big plates of decadent fudgy brownies and ice cream for dessert. Yet it is possible to have low fat cookouts and picnics without compromising on flavor. So get ready to grill, or spread your picnic blanket, and enjoy some healthier, low fat summer foods.
