Splenda is a relatively new artificial sweetener, which is around 600 times sweeter than sugar. But as with other artificial sweeteners in the past, people wonder if Splenda is carcinogenic. Is there any evidence to support this?

Splenda is an artificial sweetener that is relatively new on the consumer market. It is approximately 600 times sweeter than sugar, thus needing to use very little sweeten food and beverages. A reader writes: "I often use Splenda in my coffee and tea and sometimes use it for cooking. A co-worker of mine told me that it causes cancer. Does Splenda cause cancer?
