Odds and Ends

Scholars affiliated with the Project on Scientific Knowledge and Public Policy are calling for a "Sarbanes-Oxley" for science in the current edition of the Duke University Law School's Law and Contemporary Problems. . . In a letter to the Inspectors General of the Department of Commerce and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, fourteen senators requested a formal investigation into the continuing allegations of the suppression of NOAA scientists, including a blocked NOAA report on global warming.

Correction
In our September 25 edition, Integrity in Science Watch reported the Food and Drug Administration's Veterinary Medicine Advisory Committee voted against approving an antibiotic feed additive. It was a drug given by injection. We apologize for the error.
