Lykissa's study and the FDA
Recently, Dr. Lykissa made a valiant effort to help women with breast implants, by identifying Platinum in their systems.
The scientific community (prompted by self-interests), came out immediately and shot down Lykissa's findings.
If one reads Lykissa's paper, you come to the realization, where there's smoke, there's probably fire.
What I would like to see happening, is the FDA using Lykissa's benchmark study, and conducting their own Platinum tests on women harmed by breast implants.
I would especially like to see a generous cross section of breast implanted women, represented by the various implant manufacturer models, and various number of years implanted.
If the FDA is wanting to know where to find such a generous cross section of breast implanted women. . .I suggest they try the 440,000. women who signed on to MDL corral...At least those that are still living!
We all remember those women, they are the ones, who had so much illness in the random samplings, that it collapsed the Global Settlement, and Dow Corning decided to hide behind bankruptcy, because their wasn't enough settlement dollars to pay them.
At the end of any such study, as a breast implanted woman, I would be MOST interested in what if anything would be an effective treatment protocol for those harmed by Platinum.
