Supreme Court refuses to alter ruling in Philip Morris' favor

Another victory came for Philip Morris today. The U.S. Supreme Court says it refuses to disturb a court ruling that threw out a $10 billion judgment against the tobacco company. The suit in question accused Philip Morris of fraud, saying the company knew its ``light'' cigarettes were no safer than regular ones. A lower court ruled against the company in the first trial, but a state supreme court reversed it.
