Pennsylvania Says It Has 3 Cases of E. Coli Linked to Taco Bell

By Josh Fineman

Dec. 5 (Bloomberg) -- The Pennsylvania Health Department has identified four cases of E. coli in Montgomery, County Pennsylvania, three of which are related to customers who ate at Taco Bell.

The health department is not certain that they are of the same strain of E. coli found in New Jersey and New York, spokesman Troy Thompson said in an interview today. The ages of the patients range from 11 to 20 years old.

The nine Taco Bells in Montgomery Country were closed, said Harriet Morton, a spokesman for the Montgomery County Health Department.
