Estrogen-driven breast cancer is the most common form of the disease in the U.S., and with a 50% stoppage of hormone replacement therapy use, 2003 saw a dramatic drop in new cases of breast cancer. That and much other good news was presented at the annual San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium, an important event at which researchers, oncologists, patient advocates, and the public meet to share the latest information in the field.
