Yesterday, Senators John Ensign and Judd Gregg introduced two vital pieces of legislation to end medical lawsuit abuse and improve patient access to care nationwide.
S.243, "Medical Care Access Protection Act of 2007," and S.244, "Healthy Mothers and Healthy Babies Access to Care Act of 2007," are each modeled after successful legislation passed in Texas, and include reasonable limits on non-economic damages that have proven to be effective at the state level. These bills were also introduced in the 109th Congress.After reading the pdf file it seems to strip our rights, and protect the physicians,
medical Institutes that inflict harm on patience's. Protect pharmaceutical corporations
That make faulty products from class action suits. Physicians, from being sued also
but for a measly amount$! and Corporations like Dow Chemical and Corning,
Inamed and Mentor plus the others that the FDA refuses to hold liable also!
