Another resource for those needing help with medicine
All - I have received the following helpful information from Pam Dowd, which deserves sharing. Please read the message below.

Myrl,
For women who need help with medicine, if there is a St Vincent De Paul's in their area, they may be able to get help. Some of the manufacturers will only work through an advocate. If there is no St Vincent's, they should call their hospital resource office to see what types of advocacy programs for medication help are in their area. Salvation Army in some areas may have an advocacy program.
As you know, we have been trying to get help with Brenna's new diabetic protocol. One of her insulins that was $80/bottle finally got approved and we ran to the doctor's office to pick up what we thought was a 3 months supply. We were surprised to find there is enough of that one for 9 months. Another of her meds was $200/month. We were finally able to get a voucher and pick up two month's worth at Costco for $10. We are waiting on the second insulin to be approved. And her 4th med is on the Walmart list and we will be able to pick up her prescription there tomorrow.
If this info will help anyone out there, please pass it along.
Pam
