I also would like to say to everyone that in an article in the current December issues of ACS' Journal of Proteome Research, which is a publication scientists describe proteomics approach to identify proteins, scientists from Innsbruck, Austria (Georg Wick, MD & colleagues) did a study about New Proteins found on Silicone Breast Implants....

...I see that they make a note (information taken from Science Daily home page) : noting uncertainty about any LINK between autoimmune disease and silicone implants, they state that the new report "shows that silicone promotes at least the ashesion of altered self-proteins, which in turn may trigger an autoimmune response of the immune system."

Then I will again keep saying THERE IS A CLEAR LINK (causation of silicone) when: "proteins accumulate on the surface of silicone gel breast implants" and other silicone implants then when FACTORING IN the scientific knowledge of PROTEIN EXCESSES are common in many diseases, primarily those than stimulate the immune response....there is causation of silicone because of a protein problem and the exerting process of the human immune response /the varaints of genes, of KEY GENES being elevated/exerted....that is why I have ALWAYS BELEIVED it was so important to HLA-type (DNA, RNA, HLA-type---paid for by breast implant companies) for ALL breast implant patients and offspring so that researchers and the patient's physician can get a better grasp (and understanding) of the exerting process when PROTEINS accumulate on the surface of silicone breast implants and other silicone implants & protein excesses are common in many diseases that stimulate the immune response..... by the way the immune response is FAR GREATER THAN just "local"...it can mess up the whole body....via the placental barrier through fetal cells as well.

This is NOT some new concern for me, about proteins, silicone breast implants and genetics...I wrote INCLUDED the VALID concern in my 1996 IOM written statement/letter questioning proteins, silicone gel and genetics...only to be POOH, POOHED by the IOM---who looked the other way ....then the FDA whose own scientists found big problems with silicone breast implants, that THEY then turn around to approve silicone breast implants because the FDA (The Art of Medicine as a whole) and our entire government buckled under to industry....instead of trying to uphold medicine, science and reserach to that highest of high standard.

As many as you know, some women and children have not come up positive for platinum, but are very sick despite NOT being platinum positive.

There is this link of problems (real health issues) because of the protein problem & genetics....

PLUS **there is a VERY REAL platinum problem*** in the chemical adjuvancy of breast implant lot numbers as well (note: Drs. Lykissa and Maharaj & what they are doing) as for those who HAVE been exposed to platinum /platinum excesses found in breast implants & are postive for platinum....

This is really a very ugly, horrible double edged sword....and there is Causation to Silicone when factoring in proteins that accumulate on silicone implants along with the knowledge of PROTEIN EXCESSES are common in many diseases that STIMULATE the immune response. And factor in platinum with those are are disease-like. Then I will add I HAVE GREAT CONCERN ALSO about heat shock proteins & silicone breast implants as well....this too needs to be factored in the whole snafu of things with breast implant patients who suffer illness.

I am sure each one of us can tell FROM EXPERIENCE, disease-like diseases CAN BE extremely aggressive in both the women and offspring who are exposed to breast implants/silicone breast implants.

And out of free will ignorance as their "choice" the ART OF MEDICINE (the FDA and many others in medicine/science and reserach as well as our government) is really failing to understand all of this medical harm that IS REAL...with the FDA approval of silicone breast implants, which was the INCORRECT path to take IF anyone of higher standards really wanted to uphold their oath of First, do no harm with any silicone breast implant.
