Silicone Goes Subtle..Allergan post a comment Dow Corning also
Hey Sweetie,
Maybe, I can type a few lines giving thanks to silicone, I haven't been on my computer much lately as I can't use my damaged silicone hands, arms to do so. Another reason is that I will have surgery on the 20th. to remove my saline breast implant's. I can't understand the FDA having heard, and seen what all we have gone through letting this same thing happen to millions of women in the future, happen all over again. I noticed they have TWO big bad
wolves in charge of the hen-house, (Mayo & the National Cancer Institute), we know that one, don't we! If these new silicone gel implant's are unlikely to rupture, then why use this term at all, if breast implant's are safe at last, well as they say they have proven, then why should anyone have to sign a 30 page consent form....I'M REALLY CONFUSED HERE!
In Nov. of this year I had a complete rupture of my left breast implant, the right one was far worse I thought and would certainly go first, so one can never tell, can they. I found that that my Insurance Company had changed their rules two years ago, they would no longer pay to have breast implant's removed, they put them in, but want take them out.
I called around until I could talk with a few higher-ups, (if you will), questioned why??? They told me they just don't take breast implant's out, and that was it, I filed an appeal, I asked how much they knew about breast implant's, can you believe they really knew nothing, not what we know anyway, so as you can guess I started with everything I thought, I knew anyway, (smile), I let them know how many women I had come across in the last 15 or so years, and how many had died, and how sick we really were, and if they left these failed medical devices in my body. I could get infection and most likely would, then the cost would be much higher for them, and the worse yet, I could die. I also asked about the several millions awarded to medicare, by Dow, and how the Government received their money 1st. yet many of the sick women hadn't received one dime yet. Ladies, don't know what I said for sure to get them to change their minds, but 2 days ago, my appeal was upheld, and they are paying for my implant removable surgery.
Please remember me on the 20th. of February, I am scared, and I know what I will look like, but there is no way I will ever have another breast implant put into my body. Let's call this not sexy and beautiful, let's call it POSTIVE, that's is my answer to Nurse Joanne Gladfelter.
Thanks Gigi, and Hi to all my friends above, do remember me, I still need ya!!!
Sam
I hope, this will help other women fight a little harder if they find they can't get their breast implant's removed. If FDA is gonna keep breast implant's on the market, then the Government is gonna have to be responsible and pay-up. I tell you this thing is not over with yet!
