CHICAGO (Reuters) - Johnson & Johnson's Centocor unit received a subpoena in connection with a probe into pricing of its drug Remicade, a treatment for rheumatoid arthritis and other inflammatory diseases.
J&J, in a filing on Wednesday, said Centocor received a subpoena on Nov. 27, 2006, in connection with an investigation being conducted by the Office of the United States Attorney for the Central District of California.
According to the filing, the probe is related to the average selling price calculations for Remicade under the company's contract purchase program.
Michael Parks, a spokesman for J&J Centocor unit, said the company is cooperating with the investigation, but would not comment further.
