Ethanol Plant Battle

The legal battle over the proposed ethanol plant in Western Winnebago County may now be back to square one. The County Board approved a zoning change last year to build the plant on South Meridian Road.
A State Appellete Court in Elgin dismissed a lawsuit filed by neighbors of the proposed plant site but the judge allowed opponents of the ethanol plant to file a new complaint in circuit court.
Lead council for the neighbors Mark Daniel tells 23 News he does plan on filing a new complaint most likely in early April.
