Chemical trade group names new director-Dow Chemical & Union Carbibe
Chemical trade group names new director http://www.dailymail.com/story/Business/2007092819/Chemical-trade-group-names-new-director/Kevin DiGregorio has been named executive director of the Chemical Alliance Zone, a trade group that promotes the chemical industry in Kanawha, Putnam, Cabell and Wayne counties.
DiGregorio took over the group's leadership post on Sept. 1. He succeeds John Maher, who left at the end of August to become vice president for research at Marshall University. Maher remains on the Chemical Alliance Zone's board of directors.
In addition to heading the Chemical Alliance Zone, DiGregorio is executive director of the West Virginia Coalition for Technology Based Economic Development. He also owns a consulting firm, Impact Professional Services.
DiGregorio has a doctorate in chemical engineering from West Virginia University and more than 16 years of experience with Union Carbide Corp. and The Dow Chemical Co. While at Union Carbide, he was awarded the Corporate Fellows Technology Award.
Maher is a 21-year veteran of Union Carbide and Dow Chemical. He became executive director of the trade group in 2003, succeeding Mike Agee, who served as interim executive director following the resignation of Robert Baptista earlier that year.
The Chemical Alliance Zone was established in 1999 by an executive order of then-Gov. Cecil Underwood following years of job losses in the chemical industry. The West Virginia Development Office, DuPont, Dow Chemical, Bayer MaterialScience, Bayer CropScience, the Kanawha County Commission and Allied Processing are major supporters of the organization.
A similar trade group, the Polymer Alliance Zone, was established in 1996 to promote the plastics industry in Jackson, Mason and Wood counties.
Gigi-Karen Dow Chemical is the biggest liar & sneakiest corporation that rips off persons,
they've; harmed with there toxic products/medical devices in the entire world!Dow Chemical, bought; Union Carbide- who made gel for toxic breast implants to keep, Union Carbide from, being sued by the women.
Another un ethical maneuver, Dow Chemical got by with to insure the women; and children harmed weren't compensated by, Union Carbide or Dow Chemical for
there toxic faulty un approved by the FDA breast implants (ruptured & disease causing) so called last a life time/freight train proof/never any problems reported! Do pigs fly?
