Dear Myrl, I have also been diagnosed with atypical M.S. . The research I have done says that silicone passes thru the blood /brain barrier . I do believe this because my MRI shows multiple brain lesions that are scattered thru the brain . I also believe the high suicide rate is due to the location of some of these lesions,if they are located in certain areas of the brain ( areas that control mood or even motor skills ) it causes depression and /or neuropathies Lets please get this out there so more research can be done in this area . We need to know the truth.

Myrl, Thank you for bringing up this important question, and posting answers from the ladies. I was implanted in 1983, and explanted in 1996. Before explant, I had MS symptoms, but was not diagnosed as MS. I have managed to be a little improved in the last few years, but not very much.
