Dear Tony,

Hello from my heart to yours! If you've been involved with the Blessing Project for much time at all, or read in my blog how it all began, you're aware that I awoke one morning with the words of a blessing rushing into consciousness. Through what can only be described as a string of serendipitous circumstances, those words were soon woven into a little flash movie that was sent out into the world.

Never in my wildest imaginings, Tony, could I have foreseen the impact it would have.

Within only a few days of releasing the original movie, I began receiving letters from people the world over who told me how watching the movie had made a difference in their lives. I received emails from people who had been diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses telling me how the movie had filled them with peace. I received letters from people who had suffered great loss telling me that the movie had helped them regain hope. I received messages from people hardened by life telling me the movie had helped them to rekindle the gentleness within. And with the reading of each new letter, a desire that more could be touched by the blessing rose in me.

Through Mac Anderson and Simple Truths, that desire is now being fulfilled. Today, I am proud to join with Mac in releasing my new "baby" into the world, the book version of May You Be Blessed. And again, I feel the desire rising within me that this newest version of the blessing might be of benefit to every man, woman and child who reads it.

You see, I envision this new book going places that the movie never could. I see copies of it in doctors' office waiting rooms, and in cancer treatment centers and in mortuaries and Red Cross offices and hospital emergency rooms across the world. I see it being placed in the hands of people in need of a blessing. And in each and every instance, I see it making a difference. That is now and has always been my heartfelt wish.
