Jussta Practical Tips & Tricks & How To Play The Game

1. To RECEIVE the "Stimulus Tax Rebate" from the government. You MUST file an income tax return. You may file an income tax return if you have income of $3,000.00 or higher for 2007. You do NOT automatically receive the Stimulus Rebate if you currently collect Social Security Retirement, Disability or Social Security Supplemental Income. For Seniors, those disabled and receiving Social Security in any form, you will receive $300.00 Stimulus Rebate. The latest report is that the checks will be mailed in May 2008. AARP Tax Aide offers free tax preparation at your local Senior Center (you do not have to be a senior) or sometimes at your local library.

2. If you did not file taxes for 2006 because of low income, take your Social Security 1099 for 2006 and AARP will also file for 2006 so you will receive the $30.00 Telephone Tax Rebate which every taxpayer received that filed tax forms for 2006.

3. To AVOID late payment penalties on your Credit Card, set an automatic minimum payment in your ONLINE bank account or mail a payment at the beginning of the billing cycle or right after you receive your monthly statement - do this at least two weeks before the normal due date on your account to allow for processing. Credit Card companies PURPOSELY rotate the due date to trap you into making a late payment, which results in exorbitant LATE FEES and can, and will, increase your credit card interest percentage rate for not only that particular card - but ALL YOUR CREDIT CARDS.

4. Free Credit Report Get your Free Credit Report online at: www.annualcreditreport.com You are allowed one FREE credit report from each of the major Credit Reporting Agencies per year. They usually share and have all the same information. ONLY REQUEST A FREE CREDIT REPORT FROM ONE OF THE CREDIT BUREAUS PER QUARTER - that is ONE every four months. For example, from January through April, choose only one credit bureau such as Experian, receive your free credit report - you print it from online (OR YOU CAN ORDER BY MAIL OR PHONE) (note it does NOT update, meaning the information does not change within 30 days so no need to view it online for the next 30 days). Also do NOT buy any of the EXTRAS so make certain those boxes are checked NO. Have plenty of paper. One of my credit reports jussta printed at 29 pages. READ IT to make certain all information is correct, if NOT CORRECT, immediately dispute incorrect information. This gives you peace of mind and the ability to check for identity theft.

5. NO CREDIT CARDS FROM YOUR BANK Do not accept or apply for any bank credit cards - in the very small print, this Bank Credit Card is tied to your checking and/or savings account and if you miss a payment, or get behind in payments, the Bank Credit Card company can withdraw funds from your checking or savings account without your permission leaving you high and dry. If you have one of these credit cards, pay it off and cancel the card, ASAP.

I trust this information is of value, feel free to pass it on. I have several new web site pages - check them out:)
