Your genes come from your parents, and determine things such as hair and eye color, height, the shape of your nose, and your risk of some diseases. If you've inherited mutated BRCA1 or BRCA2 genes, your risk of developing breast cancer at some time in your life is increased above average. Should you have a genetic test?

Completing Hormone Therapy
I just took my final Aromasin, the last of my follow-up hormone therapy for estrogen-positive breast cancer. I had started on Tamoxifen, but developed some endometrial thickening after two years, so after talking with my oncologist, Aromasin was the pill of the day for my next three years. Both pills caused hot flashes, but I'd have to say that the Tamoxifen flashes were the worst. So, having experienced chemopause, I'm officially in menopause, and eager to see what life is like without hormone therapy!
