Femara (letrozole) is an aromatase inhibitor that prevents production of estrogen, and has been shown to be very effective at preventing recurrence of breast cancer. Aromasin is also an aromatase inhibitor, and either of these drugs can be taken after a course of Tamoxifen. All three drugs have side effects, which although bothersome, are temporary.
