	from Pam Stephan Femara (letrozole) is an aromatase inhibitor that prevents production of estrogen, and has been shown to be very effective at preventing recurrence of breast cancer. Aromasin is also an aromatase inhibitor, and either of these drugs can be taken after a course of Tamoxifen. All three drugs have side effects, which although bothersome, are temporary. Tamoxifen - Hormone Therapy to Prevent Recurrence
Tamoxifen is an antiestrogen (estrogen suppressor) medication, taken after primary treatment for estrogen-fueled breast cancer. Tamoxifen is not a steroid. This medication helps lower the risk that breast cancer will return and improves survival rates.

Aromasin - Breast Cancer Adjuvant Hormone Therapy
Aromasin (exemestane) is an antiestrogen, or estrogen suppressor medication, taken as a 25 mg pill. Aromasin is a steroid. This medication helps lower your risk of breast cancer recurrence, and improves your chance of survival.
