Diet Lowers Blood Pressure
A new study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine provides the strongest evidence yet that diet can lower blood pressure and prevent heart attack and stroke. Researchers followed more than 88,000 healthy women for almost 25 years. Women with diets emphasizing fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low-fat milk and plant based protein over milk were 24 % less likely to have a heart attack and 18 % less likely to have a stroke than women with more typical American diets.
