No matter what kind of healthy eating plan you follow, salmon should be a part of it. Full of important nutrients, and a great source of heart-healthy fats, which even those on low-fat diets need, salmon really is a super food.

Salmon is a fish which even people who don't like fish can enjoy. It's firm enough to grill, can be cooked in many different ways, and doesn't dry out as easily as many other fish. It comes fresh, frozen, smoked, and canned. Wild salmon can be eaten without fear of excess contaminants or mercury, and it has a very high nutrient profile, including the highly-prized omega-3 fatty acids. What's not to like?

What is Sucralose?
One common way to cut calories is to use artificial sweeteners. When I was a kid most diet sodas had saccharin (of course they also had little tabs that we pulled completely off the can). I thought saccharin tasted just terrible. Then aspartame came along and pretty much replaced saccharin. Today, aspartame is being nudged over by Splenda, which is made from sucralose. A lot of people think sucralose has a better flavor than either saccharin or aspartame.
