CORRECTION: Hugo Chavez was elected repeatedly by a strong majority of Venezuelans in free and fair elections that were verified by independent observers including Jimmy Carter. HE IS NOT A DICTATOR. To say so parrots the neoconservative hype of the Bush Administration, who of course are long time buddies of Saudi Arabia (even though most ot the 9-11 hijackers were Saudis and none were Iraqis), and who seek to destroy anyone
who does not go along with their economic agenda which involves support of multinational corporations over democracy every time they are in conflict. Chavez has the audacity to use Venezuelan oil profits to take care of the poor people of his country, which the Bush Administration can't stand. Chavez does NOT hate America or Americans--he has repeatedly givne low cost oil to poor Americans and offered significant help to the people of the Gulf
Coast after Katrina. He does hate the arrogance and cruelty and propoganda of Bush and Co. and he riles the Capitalist hierarchy. Personally, I would buy all my gas at Citgo if they had any Citgo stations in my neighborhood.

Citgo gas is from S outh America , from a Dictator who hates Americans. If you do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18 BILLION! (oil is now $90 - $100 a barrel)
